Anywhere machinery and production can be halted as a result of cold, snow and ice STEP HEAT can be used to heat, melt or maintain certain temperatures. In most process heating applications, specific temperatures must be maintained in order to retain proper function and product quality.
Because of its flexibility STEP HEAT elements can be used to protect pipes, valves and outside equipment from freezing. STEP HEAT’s flat and flexible heating elements can be wrapped around pipeline and tanks to efficiently heat the flowing fluids and gases.
In cold climates the formation of ice on ships, oil rigs and land based facilities creates serious problems, impacting safety of personnel and efficiency of operations. STEP HEAT De-icing / Anti-icing has been designed to solve problems with snow buildup and ice damming on ramps, decks and roofs. STEP Arctic Pad De-icing is a high traction surface to prevent slips & falls when working in cold or harsh arctic environments.
STEP HEAT elements are approved for hazardous locations Class I, Zone 0, [AEx is Ga] IIA, Ex is IIA T4 Ga Class I, Division 1, Group D, T4 and are Intrinsically Safe.
